Inventus Power Launches Compact 24V Lithium-Ion Battery for Robotics and Material Handling

Inventus Power has introduced the LV-24V50, a compact 24V lithium-iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery designed to meet the growing power requirements of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and other material handling equipment.

Announced on 28 October 2026, the battery is the latest addition to the company’s PROformance Li-ion Series and forms part of its PROTRXion® product family. Samples are now available for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to evaluate.

Compact design delivers high power output

The LV-24V50 provides 1.2 kWh of rated energy and close to 5 kW of peak power in a compact format designed for space-constrained robotic and AGV chassis.

With a 48 Ah capacity, the battery is intended to support full-shift operation on smaller platforms without adding unnecessary weight, cost or volume. This design allows equipment manufacturers to integrate the battery into existing platforms and scale production without major redesigns.

The battery can also be fully charged in approximately one hour, helping reduce charging downtime and maintain equipment availability in demanding warehouse, manufacturing and logistics environments.

Intelligent battery management and monitoring

The LV-24V50 incorporates Inventus Power’s proprietary battery management system (BMS), which combines CANopen communication, soft-start pre-charge control and active cell balancing.

These features are designed to optimise battery performance, safety and service life while providing OEM engineers with information on state of charge, system health and fault conditions.

Integrated LED status indicators also allow operators and maintenance technicians to check battery health quickly without requiring additional diagnostic equipment.

Lithium-ion technology offers lifecycle and weight advantages

The battery is designed as an alternative to conventional sealed lead-acid (SLA) batteries used in industrial equipment.

According to Inventus Power, the LV-24V50 offers up to three times the cycle life and weighs 40% less than comparable lead-acid solutions. These characteristics are intended to help equipment operators improve uptime, reduce battery replacement requirements and lower overall fleet operating costs.

The launch reflects the increasing demand for compact, high-performance battery systems as robotics and automated material handling become more widely adopted across warehouses, manufacturing facilities and logistics operations.
