Space-Saving Solutions for Storing and Transporting Goods
New Compact Double Stackers and Pallet Trucks from Linde MH for Tight Spaces
Linde Material Handling (MH) introduces compact double stackers and a new pallet truck, designed to simplify goods transport and streamline loading and unloading processes in confined areas, such as logistics, retail, and production. Each vehicle is optionally available with an active foot protection guard to enhance safety, and the pallet truck features an ergonomic lift to minimize back and knee strain during order picking.
“In places like supermarkets, warehouses, or production environments, space is often limited. The compact design of the new Linde double stackers offers an edge for short- to medium-distance transport, as well as tasks like truck loading, order picking, and supermarket restocking,” explains Marc Castro, Senior Strategy and Portfolio Manager for Warehouse Trucks at Linde Material Handling.
The Linde D06 to D10 models can carry loads of 0.6, 0.8, or 1.0 tons on the free lift, along with an additional 1.0 ton on the initial lift. They come in multiple battery options to meet specific needs. In versions with a compact lithium-ion battery, the distance between chassis and fork face (l2 dimension) is reduced, with the Linde D06 model measuring just 592 mm in length. The newest model, the Linde D08 M double stacker with a mono-mast, offers a load capacity of 0.8 tons on the free lift and 1.0 tons on the initial lift, reaching a lift height of 1,590 mm. Its compact design and clear view enabled by the mono-mast make it ideal for retail environments, supporting tasks from stockroom to sales floor and shelf restocking. All models feature Linde’s five-point contact configuration and centered drive wheel for enhanced stability on uneven surfaces. Additionally, Linde’s OptiLift mast control allows operators to precisely manage lift speed through a tiller lever.
Enhanced Ergonomics with the New Linde T16 L Pallet Truck
The Linde T16 L pallet truck is engineered for ergonomic order picking and shelf restocking in e-commerce and retail. Controls on the tiller and truck sides allow operators to raise the forks to a maximum working height of 675 mm, creating a back-friendly load placement process.
Both the double stackers and the T16 L pallet truck are exceptionally compact, measuring just 1,742 mm in length (l1 dimension) and 720 mm in width, making them more maneuverable than previous models. Available in lithium-ion or lead-acid battery options, the lithium-ion versions offer either a tray-based or ultra-compact design. The powerful drive motor delivers ample power, with up to 20% climbing ability.
An optional active foot protection guard senses contact and automatically halts or reverses the truck. Additional safety features include a low chassis skirt to prevent foot entrapment and a low-set tiller arm for a safe operator distance. The autolift function further enhances efficiency by automatically adjusting fork height during loading and unloading, saving operators time and effort.
