New Zimbabwean Airline Set to Launch Passenger Service This Year

Exciting news for Zimbabwean aviation! Transvaal Africa, a new start-up airline, has officially secured its Air Service permit and is set to launch passenger flights later this year. The airline will initially focus on regional routes, offering travelers a new way to fly across key African cities.

CEO Patson Moyo shared the airline’s vision, saying, “We are targeting regional routes for passenger movement, connecting cities like Harare to Johannesburg, Harare to Dar es Salaam, and expanding to exciting international destinations such as Lagos, London, Dubai, and Shanghai.” With plans to operate from both Harare and Victoria Falls airports, Transvaal Africa is poised to serve growing demand for efficient travel options in the region.

The airline also has big ambitions for the future, planning charter flights between Victoria Falls and regional hotspots like Johannesburg and Cape Town, with eyes set on launching long-haul routes to major global destinations such as Berlin, Shanghai, and the Middle East.

Starting with three leased Boeing aircraft, Transvaal Africa is ready to redefine travel in Southern Africa, bringing new opportunities and more choices to both leisure and business travelers. The sky’s the limit for this bold new venture in Zimbabwe’s aviation landscape!
