Fastjet Zimbabwe Expands Regional Network with New Harare–Lusaka Route

Fastjet Zimbabwe, the multi-award-winning African airline, is set to enhance regional connectivity with the launch of a new scheduled flight service between Harare, Zimbabwe, and Lusaka, Zambia, starting Wednesday, April 9.

This new route will operate three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—utilizing the 50-seater Embraer ERJ145 aircraft, a model renowned for its efficiency and passenger comfort.

Boosting Business and Trade in the Zim-Zam Corridor

Recognizing the deep economic and social ties between Zimbabwe and Zambia, Fastjet Zimbabwe sees this expansion as a strategic step toward strengthening trade, tourism, and cargo movement between the two nations.

“Zimbabwe and Zambia have a symbiotic relationship that cuts across multiple sectors,” said Nunurai Ndawana, Fastjet Zimbabwe Spokesperson. “The introduction of this route attests to our commitment to fostering economic growth and seamless connectivity across the region. For 10 years, Fastjet Zimbabwe has been a proud part of the Zimbabwean community, and we are excited to expand our network to Lusaka.”

Convenient Scheduling for Business & Leisure Travelers

With no other airline offering an early morning flight on this route, Fastjet is optimizing travel schedules to benefit both business and leisure passengers.

“Our flight timings are designed to provide travelers with a full day’s activities in their city of arrival,” noted Donahue Cortes, Fastjet Zimbabwe Business CEO and Country Head. “The Lusaka early morning departure now joins our other sunrise flights to Bulawayo and Johannesburg, reinforcing our commitment to providing efficient travel solutions.”

Driving Growth in Regional Air Cargo

The introduction of this strategically timed route also presents significant opportunities for air cargo and bulk handling between Zimbabwe and Zambia. With improved connectivity and reliable service, businesses can expect faster deliveries and efficient freight movement between the two capitals.

As Fastjet continues to strengthen intra-African air travel, this latest expansion marks another milestone in enhancing regional trade, tourism, and logistics.
