Gorbel has expanded its material handling portfolio with the Destuff-it Portable Ergonomic Conveyor, a solution designed to improve the safety and efficiency of unloading floor-stacked products from shipping containers.
Manual container unloading can be labour-intensive and physically demanding, while also increasing the risk of product damage and worker fatigue. The Destuff-it provides an alternative by allowing operators to move products onto a conveyor with less bending, reaching and manual handling.
The portable conveyor features an adjustable hydraulic platform and battery-powered drive system. Workers can position the machine against a wall of products and transfer individual cases onto the conveyor, reducing physical strain during the unloading process.
According to Gorbel, the system can increase case-handling rates by up to 75%, helping warehouses improve productivity while reducing the physical demands placed on workers.
The Destuff-it can be configured with three conveyor options: cascading belt, flexible roller and telescopic conveyors. These systems can either be integrated with the Destuff-it or purchased separately, while the equipment can also connect with existing conveyor systems.
The solution is designed for logistics and warehouse operations where efficient container unloading is essential to maintaining cargo flow. By combining ergonomic design with powered material handling, the Destuff-it provides operators with a practical solution for improving productivity and reducing manual handling risks.
The introduction of the Destuff-it further strengthens Gorbel’s focus on ergonomic material handling technology and solutions designed to improve warehouse and logistics operations.
