Superior Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, has introduced a redesigned version of its popular Conveyor Impact Cradle. The updated design features larger pad cartridges for increased durability and a reinforced connection point between the pads and cradle frame.
Engineered to improve upon the traditional impact bed, the impact cradle effectively absorbs the force of falling materials to protect conveyor belts while addressing common design flaws.
Key benefits of the redesigned impact cradle include a curved bed that fully supports the belting, eliminating gaps that can trap fugitive material. The pads are easily removable from the cradle frame, even in tight and hard-to-access transition zones, and require no special tools for installation or maintenance. Each pad is constructed from a special urethane material that minimizes friction and enhances cushioning.
In addition to the redesigned features, the product is now available in two additional pre-engineered models: medium and heavy-duty, alongside the standard model first introduced to conveyor owners in 2017.
