German engineering specialist KettenWulf is strengthening its global presence with plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in Auburn, Alabama, marking a significant step in its North American expansion strategy. The company intends to invest approximately $34 million in the project, which is expected to create around 70 new jobs in the region.
The Auburn facility is set to serve as a strategic hub for KettenWulf’s operations in the United States, supporting growing demand across key industries such as bulk material handling, mining, and manufacturing. The move reflects the company’s long-term commitment to building closer relationships with customers while enhancing service delivery and production capabilities within the US market.
Founded in Germany in 1925, KettenWulf recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, underscoring a century of expertise in engineered chain solutions. As a family-owned business, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-performance conveyor chains, drive chains, and sprockets tailored to demanding industrial environments.
Over the decades, KettenWulf has positioned itself as a key player in advanced chain and drive technologies, offering customised solutions to sectors including mining, steel production, bulk handling, and specialised manufacturing. The new US facility is expected to further strengthen its ability to support these industries with reliable, high-quality components designed for heavy-duty applications.
This expansion not only reinforces KettenWulf’s global growth ambitions but also highlights the increasing importance of localised manufacturing in meeting the evolving needs of industrial customers worldwide.
