Uzbekistan-based cargo airline My Freighter has commenced scheduled cargo services with the introduction of a new route linking Shanghai Pudong (PVG) and Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) via its main hub in Tashkent (TAS).
The service operates twice weekly using a Boeing 767-300 freighter, offering a total transit time of 17 hours. My Freighter said the route is designed to meet growing airfreight demand between China and Europe while positioning Tashkent as an emerging international logistics hub.
The airline’s move into scheduled operations has been made possible through its partnership with Air Cargo APAC, acting as cargo sales agent. According to My Freighter, the Shanghai–Tashkent–Amsterdam link offers a “smart logistics solution” that provides an alternative to congested regional transit points such as Dubai and Istanbul.
Priority cargo on the route includes automotive parts, high-tech equipment, semiconductors, e-commerce parcels, and express shipments.
Industry forecasts support the airline’s growth strategy: the World Trade Organization (WTO) expects China’s exports to Europe to grow 6% in 2025, partly due to shifting trade flows following US tariff changes and the removal of the de minimis exemption for e-commerce.
The launch follows My Freighter’s network expansion in 2024, which included new operations to Hangzhou Xiaoshan (HGH), Shanghai Pudong (PVG), and Ezhou Huahu (EHU) after gaining Mainland China flight authorisations in April that year.
