IAG Cargo Boosts Capacity in Winter Schedule with Expanded Flights to Global Destinations
Increased Frequency to Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific Strengthens IAG Cargo’s Network for the Busy Season
IAG Cargo has increased its capacity to the Middle East, Africa, the US, and Latin America as part of its winter schedule, which began in October and runs through the end of March.
The updated schedule has resulted in a 5% rise in weekly rotations to Africa and the Middle East, including the return of the London Heathrow (LHR)/Jeddah (JED) route, now operating six times a week.
Key transatlantic routes have also seen expanded capacity, with an additional seven weekly flights to Miami (MIA) from London Heathrow, doubling the previous frequency. Dublin (DUB) has resumed the same service to Miami, now running three times a week.
In Latin America, IAG Cargo has added three more weekly flights from London Heathrow to Sao Paulo (GRU) and three additional services from Madrid (MAD). Furthermore, there are six more weekly services from Madrid and Barcelona (BCN) to Buenos Aires (EZE), and four more weekly rotations from Madrid to Santo Domingo (SDQ).
The winter schedule, which began in October, continues until the end of March next year.
Camilo Garcia Cervera, IAG Cargo’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, said: “The final quarter of the year is always a busy time for air cargo, and the increased frequency and capacity across our global network have boosted the options available to our customers, further strengthening IAG Cargo’s critical role in the supply chain.”
These network updates are part of a broader plan that includes the addition of extra capacity to the Asia-Pacific region, as British Airways and Iberia, IAG’s sister companies, have added flights to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Tokyo starting in October.
