French autonomous vehicle technology company EasyMile has been acquired by Alvest and incorporated into a new autonomous vehicle offering called TLD Robotics.
EasyMile, which has raised more than $80 million through two funding rounds, has developed autonomous vehicle technology for applications including ports, industrial sites and logistics operations.
Autonomous Technology for Logistics
The acquisition brings EasyMile’s autonomous driving expertise into TLD Robotics, expanding Alvest’s capabilities in automated vehicle technology.
EasyMile has previously demonstrated autonomous vehicle applications in port environments, including trials involving an electric terminal tractor at the Port of Helsingborg in Sweden.
The integration into TLD Robotics is expected to strengthen the development of autonomous solutions for controlled environments where vehicles can support material movement, cargo handling and other logistics activities.
The move reflects continued investment in automation across the transport and logistics sector, where autonomous vehicles are being explored as a way to improve operational efficiency and support increasingly technology-driven cargo handling environments.
