ICTSI Agrees to Acquire African Port Operator TLG

International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), controlled by Philippine billionaire Enrique Razon Jr., has agreed to acquire TLG Acquisition Holdings, expanding its port and cargo-handling operations across Southern Africa.

TLG operates port and cargo-handling businesses in South Africa, Mozambique and Namibia, giving ICTSI an expanded presence across key African logistics markets.

The proposed acquisition follows ICTSI’s recent 25-year partnership to operate and upgrade Durban Container Terminal Pier 2 in South Africa, strengthening the company’s involvement in one of the region’s major container gateways.

Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Completion remains subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

The acquisition would further strengthen ICTSI’s international port portfolio while expanding its exposure to Southern Africa’s container handling, logistics and cargo infrastructure markets.

For the African logistics sector, the transaction highlights continued international investment in port infrastructure, terminal operations and cargo-handling capacity, as operators seek to strengthen connections between regional markets and global trade routes.
