Dinnissen’s Sampling Unit Receives ATEX Certification

Dinnissen is excited to announce that its Sampling Unit has achieved an expanded ATEX certification, allowing it to operate in a variety of hazardous environments with explosion risks. This certification covers internal zones 20, 21, and 22, as well as external zones 21 and 22, and complies with Directive 2014/34/EU. This milestone underscores the unit’s reliable design and adherence to the highest safety standards for dust explosion risks.

The Sampling Unit is capable of functioning in ambient temperatures between -20°C and +60°C, with process temperatures ranging from 0°C to +120°C. Its design also accommodates products with highly critical explosive properties, making it a versatile solution for diverse industrial applications.

Dinnissen’s Sampling Unit simplifies the collection of accurate samples during production, which is essential for quality control. By automating the sampling process, it minimizes the risk of human error and reduces labor costs. The unit is utilized by producers in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries to gather multiple samples without halting production, resulting in enhanced quality consistency and efficiency. Its hygienic design and ease of cleaning make it an invaluable asset for companies aiming for reliable quality measurements.

With over 350 units sold globally in the past decade, the Sampling Unit has demonstrated its reliability and effectiveness in practical applications. Customers can trust its proven design for automatic product stream sampling, prioritizing hygiene. The unit is designed with no dead spaces, features a minimal number of parts, and avoids metal-to-metal contact, making it easy to clean and suitable for the food and animal feed industries.

The ATEX-certified Sampling Unit comes equipped with various sampling carousels for enhanced automation. Constructed from high-quality materials, including stainless steel 316 and food-grade plastics, it can be seamlessly integrated into existing installations, facilitating retrofit applications.

Erik Peeters, Sampling Specialist at Dinnissen, emphasizes the significance of this certification: “This is Dinnissen’s contribution to ensuring safe food supplies for both humans and animals, now and in the future.”

In addition to the ATEX-certified Sampling Unit, Dinnissen also provides other machines designed for explosion-risk environments, such as centrifugal sifters and Pegasus® mixers, all compliant with strict ATEX guidelines. These machines prioritize safety while maintaining efficiency and reliability. With the new ATEX certification, Dinnissen is making significant strides in delivering safe, dependable, and sustainable solutions for the process industry.
