CtrlFleet has expanded the fuel network capabilities of its Transport Management System (TMS) through an integration with Online Petroleum, giving transport operators greater flexibility in managing fuel alongside their wider fleet and transport operations.
The integration forms part of CtrlFleet’s broader strategy to develop an interconnected transport technology ecosystem, linking the platforms and service providers already used by road freight operators directly into their operational workflows.
Fuel Planning Integrated with Transport Operations
Online Petroleum provides on-road refuelling solutions for the transport and logistics sector, with a network of refuelling locations across Southern Africa.
Through the new integration, CtrlFleet clients using Online Petroleum can incorporate fuel planning into their existing transport workflows. Operators can schedule fuel stops alongside loads, trips and vehicle planning, giving teams greater visibility of fuel requirements during journey planning.
This allows transport operators to consider fuel requirements as part of the wider operational picture rather than managing fuel information separately from their transport activities.
“As our client base grows, so do the different requirements of the transporters using our platform,” says CtrlFleet. “Our aim is to give clients the flexibility to work with the service providers they already know and trust, while CtrlFleet brings those different parts of the operation together.”
Building a Connected Transport Ecosystem
The Online Petroleum integration reflects CtrlFleet’s approach to expanding its TMS through connections with established technology and service providers.
Rather than requiring transport operators to move to a closed ecosystem, the platform enables them to continue working with service providers that fit their operational requirements while bringing key activities into a single transport management environment.
For road freight operators, integrating fuel planning with load scheduling, trip execution and vehicle management can provide greater operational visibility and support more proactive decision-making across daily transport activities.
