Solis Dominates Solar Power Africa with Groundbreaking Innovations

Ginlong (Solis), listed as Stock code: 300763.S.Z, the third-largest PV inverter manufacturer globally, continues its substantial efforts in assisting African nations in transitioning to clean energy. At the recent Solar Power Africa event in Cape Town, Solis unveiled its Solis S6 product expansion tailored specifically for the dynamic African market.

Building upon the success of the Solis S6 Advanced Hybrid Inverter introduced in 2023, this year’s Solar Power Africa event served as an ideal platform for the company to introduce new additions to its product line. These additions include the Solis Three Phase Grid-Tied Inverters, Solis Single Phase Low Voltage Energy Storage Inverter, and the Solis Single Phase Low Voltage Off-Grid Inverters.

South Africa, heavily dependent on coal for electricity, faces significant challenges, especially during the rainy season when adverse weather impacts energy resources. This exacerbates the power crisis, leading to severe load shedding, with South Africans enduring up to 10 hours without power during peak times. Solis’s latest products provide an ideal solution as South Africa aims to increase renewable energy contributions to the grid by 2030.

James Frank, Solis’s South Africa Country Manager, stressed, “As the world’s third-largest PV inverter manufacturer, Solis is well-positioned to support South Africa’s ambition for energy transition pathways. Committed to our mission of ‘Developing technology to power the world with clean energy,’ the Solis team at the expo maximized every opportunity to engage with customers.”

Tony Botha, Regional Sales Manager, added, “The Solar Power Africa Expo left visitors electrified with the highly anticipated release of our new product range. The spotlight was on the Solis S6 50kW hybrid and the game-changing 355kW AC string inverter, both promising to redefine the solar energy landscape.”

As the world pursues sustainable and efficient energy solutions, Solis’s introduction of these groundbreaking products exemplifies its commitment to driving progress and shaping the future of renewable energy both within Africa and beyond.
